Asics has released a new range of Streetstyle trainers taking the look of the original 1980s sillhouette and adding new colour ways for a twist of modern flavour.

The new Streetstyles range has colour updates on the GEL-Lyte III and the GT II, including the original design features such as the split tongue and gel cushioning.

Asics, who are also one of the sponsors of the UK B-Boy Championships this October 10 and 11, have also introduced a breaking mat for beginners to learn the basics steps of toprocking, the six step and a basic freeze.

B-Boy Mouse who helped to develop the mat as part of the new trainer promotion, went to London to try and introduce members of the public to the art of b-boying on the streets:

Asics will also have an official UK B-Boy shoe and t-shirt pack themed around the Championships, and will be involved in activities on the night.

The Asics Sports Style range is available now from selected trainer shops, including Size? and Offspring.
