The Vauxhall UK Beatbox Championships is back for its biggest year yet in 2010. With beatboxers throughout the UK keen to show off their vocal skills, everyone’s in with a chance to win a brand new Vauxhall Corsa SXi worth £14,500 - and even face Reeps One, the defending champion!

Call to battle: MC Zani

The Vauxhall UK Beatbox Championships 2009 ended in a climactic battle of the (voice)box between THe PETEBOX and Reeps One trying to outdo one another to win a car. This year Reeps One is returning to defend his crown and compete against new contenders who dare to step to the mic.

The championships this year will see 2008 champion MC Zani, fresh from touring with Jay Sean, sitting on the judge’s panel deciding who will make it through to the rounds at the grand final in June.

The regional heats for London is at the O2 Islington Academy where MC Zani and owner of Humanbeatbox.com Archangel will decide, with a the help of audience cheers, who will make it to the finals in June, while the infamous Stig of the Dump will lead the ceremony.

Breakers and beatboxers?

For 2010, the crowd will be treated to an entirely new concept for the event – the crew battle. For the first time ever at the Championships, two or more groups of beatboxers will perform a staged clash surrounded by b-boys.
