Kicking off flashmob style!
This year’s international beatbox convention, Boxcon, is announcing itself to the
publuc guerilla style, with a choreographed assault on people’s eardrums in several
locations around London this Saturday..
Think of the T-
The jams will start at Carnaby Street and finish at the London Eye, covering eight different tourist spots, and probably turning a few surprised heads too.

The main BoxCon event then will continue to London’s Southbank Centre -
Boxcon brings beatboxers from all over the world together, with emcees coming from Belgium, USA, Canada, Czech Republic and Spain on the line up. The event also draws in crowds of fascinated members of the public to witness emcees producing music with only a microphone and their vocal chords.
Sunday will be the main event day, with open mic sessions, showcases and battles taking place throughout the afternoon, including appearances from competitors from the Vauxhall Beatbox London qualifiers in February.
The weekend draws to a close with a final concert which will feature beatbox ensembles performing. Lined up are all female group The Boxettes, Lytos, Markooz and Skiller, Ommm and a jazz infused set by New Yorker Adam Matta and Oren Marshall
